Tony has produced this show for both symphony orchestra and small ensemble, giving venues a choice, and he enjoys singing this concert with boys' choirs. As a young boy in Belgium, Tony had a clear soprano voice, a good ear, and a quick mind for learning music, and he easily rose to the top as a soloist with the boys' choir at his school. The boys were trained in Gregorian chant, and sang daily for morning matins and evening vespers at the college chapel. Tony subsequently toured with an international choir, the preeminent Gregorian Choir, Les Petits Chanteurs a la Croix de Bois. These experiences left a fondness in his heart for that crystalline sonority that distinguishes their music.

| The 2007 Christmas Concert Series is being performed with the international award winning Land of Lakes Choirboys from Minnesota, under the musical direction of the Austrian-trained New Zealander, Francis Stockwell. Winner of the 2004 International Trebby Award for "Best Boys" Choir Album" with its CD "Steal Away," the Land of Lakes Choirboys has stunned audiences all over the world with its superb singing. The Land of Lakes Choirboys is the only boys' choir outside of Germany to have received the honor of opening the International Bach Festival in Ratingen, Germany (June 1999) with a full concert, and asserted its position as one of the finest boys' choirs in the world. Perhaps the most talked-about aspects of this choir are its pure and hauntingly beautiful sound, its power and flawless intonation. Founded by Craig Carmody Anderson since 1976, the Land of Lakes Choirboys is a nonprofit boy choir organization comprised of six individual choir ensembles. Choristers are taught arts of music, leadership, respect, honor and other elements of human integrity. |
